What Sparked This?

This assignment was part of our Semester 6 Advertising course, where we were asked to select an existing corporate brand ad and rework it into a product-specific brand advertisement. We chose Nike’s LeBron James x Neymar campaign for its visual power and iconic appeal. The challenge was to maintain the emotional depth of the original while making the product, and not just the brand, but the star.

What I Explored

The key question we tackled was: How do you turn a corporate brand ad into a targeted product campaign without losing its emotional soul?

We selected two iconic Nike shoes: the LeBron 14 and the Hypervenom Gold, linking them directly to the players featured. Using a remix of the original visuals, we layered in product clips, pricing, performance features, and emotional storytelling. The soundtrack “Hall of Fame” helped elevate the ad's motivational tone, while our final CTA: “Channel Your Inner Icon” created urgency tied to World Health Day.
